Max von Camarillo is a pure long-haired 12 month old German Shepherd. He has a huge frame and is skin and bones at 78 pounds. He should weigh over 100 pounds. Our guess is he belonged to a breeder and when he required medical care he was taken to an animal shelter for euthanasia. Fortunately, the animal shelter knew they had something special and Max was immediately treated with new medication which makes his condition so treatable if only the breeders had bothered to take him to a vet. He has a yeast infection, secondary skin infection and demodectic mange none of which are contagious to other animals or people. He met a cat and was too interested, seems fine with dogs and loves people, listens to conversations and knows when he is the object of admiration. The volunteers see him as the magnificent dog he will be, we are hoping you can also.
